Rant- Bad shoes and good websites

The other day, or should I say evening, I met up with my friend Lynda to help her do some work on an essay. We hadd just grabbed some nosh down at flames (the worlds worst takeaway) and where heading to the brag cluster. Unfortunately due to my poor eyesight I ended up falling quite badly down a flight of stairs and broke me shoe. Being the cast I am size 13 (big I know) getting shoes to fit is a difficult task and being this was my best pair which I aimed to wear in Seattle in a week or so, I was pritty miffed. However I found a cobbler in Bradford who fixed them nicely.

However later on today I ha another stumble and ended up doing the above to my shoe. TWO pairs busted in the same week has to be a new record for me, but has got me thinking how poor shoes these days are being made. Perhaps I should start getting double stitched ones with a cemented heal. I shall probably go get some new ones this week before heading to the US, although I am considering getting some there as it may be cheaper and America do have large sizes.

Another issues this week was my research presentation. Overall good performance and my work seems to be on the right lines, but dear me what an embarrising typo. cXnt, the clue is X wasnt “A”. I must question how I made such an error being the offending key is at the other side of the keyboard. Still made for good laughs.

My final bit of news is the site my friend GW and I have been working on will be launching soon and will hopfully be the first of a string of website ideas we will develop. Doctor who collectables is an amazon affiliate site which lists all the Doctor who merchandise in a specific order to help those looking for Doctor who goods, to locate hat they want quick and with ease. We hope it becomes a hit with the Doctor who online community and it has been a fun project to work on these past few weeks (although I dare say poor GW has done most of the work). Check it out.

It’s been a fair few days since my last post, an Ie been wondering of what really could I post on a regular basis to basically fill this blog up, and also, my friends, to show you a little bit about what I do in my private life without scaring you or calling your local priest to perform an exocism, although that would be nice Anyway this led me to the idea to write some reviews on some of the things Ive been reading, watching and most likely, listening to, so I shall now present my first in a line of review posts….
